Northrop Grumman will establish an office near London International Airport in Ontario through a partnership with Diamond Aircraft Industries to offer intelligence-gathering aircraft systems in Canada and other international markets.
George Vardoulakis, vice president of medium-range tactical systems at Northrop, said Wednesday the companies will work to combine Northro’s manned and unmanned systems technology and Diamond Aircraft’s design and manufacturing processes.
“We can pool our expertise to explore new opportunities for our customers worldwide,” he added.
“Collaborating with Northrop Grumman is a great opportunity to bring high-value work to Southern Ontario and to develop new Canadian products for domestic and international markets,” said Peter Maurer, president and chief executive officer of Diamond Aircraft.
Northrop’s Ontario office will be near Diamond Aircraft’s production facility at the airport.
