ETL Systems will provide its radio frequency signal distribution technology for three satellites in Inmarsat‘s Global Xpress constellation.
Boeing selected ETL to supply the technology for the satellite, one of which Boeing built with 89 beams and six spot beams, ETL said Thursday.
ETL’s Alto line amplifiers and RF splitters/combiners are intended for GX’s ground segment, which work to distribute RF signals over L-band frequencies.
The first GX satellite, Inmarsat-5 F1, has finished its orbital deployment stages and is scheduled to provide commercial broadband services starting in mid-2014, ETL says.
