Chinese oil and gas distributor PetroChina Co. Ltd.  will continue to use Honeywell’s software tools for operating additional petrochemical facilities across China in an effort to help meet the country’s energy demands.
Honeywell’s refining and petrochemical modeling system and its Intuition Executive information management tools will be implemented in 17 PetroChina refining sites in addition to 13 existing locations, Honeywell said Tuesday.
Aldous Wong, vice president and general manager of Honeywell process services in China, said the company intends for the software services to help PetroChina view its overall operations and fulfill fuel requirements for the country.
PetroChina plant operators will work to monitor enterprise-wide operations using the Honeywell software tools.
The oil company’s project is scheduled to complete in two years.
