cloud_security_EMViON Corp. and Virtustream have teamed up to jointly offer enterprise cloud services to government clients.

The companies will also provide application sizing and migration technologies for customers that want to transition applications into a cloud-based information technology system, Virtustream said Wednesday.

Tom Frana, ViON president and CEO, said the company intends for the partnership to grow Virtustream’s on-demand IT service offerings and help clients comply with federal cloud regulations.

“The federal government cloud market is in a double-digit growth phase, and projected to hit the $10 billion mark by 2018,” said Kevin Reid, CEO and chief technology officer at Virtustream.

Customers will have access to ViON’s xStream software to deploy and manage their internal cloud services.
