McAfee and Schneider Electric have formed a partnership that will offer whitelisting, cybersecurity and change control services to the utility and critical infrastructure industry for customers’ energy management tools.
The companies said Tuesday that McAfee will offer embedded, integrity and application control products with Schneider’s water, oil and gas, electric networks and transportation services with the goal of preventing malware and other system risks.
Tom Moore, McAfee’s vice president of worldwide embedded security, said the team intends for the whitelisting to only allow approved applications to run on critical infrastructure.
The collaboration is also intended to help build up customers’ audit functions and security standards compliance.
