General Atomics Aeronautical Systems has awarded a $5 million subcontract to a GKN plc subsidiary for more fuel storage bladders on GA-ASI’s Predator unmanned aerial vehicles, iNVEZZ reported Wednesday.
Branimir Kondov writes that GA-ASI ordered 100 additional petrol tanks for its drone from GKN Aerospace.
GKN has provided GA-ASI with more than 75 sets of Predator fuel bladder systems to date, according to the article.
Kondov reports that GKN manufactures bladder-shaped aircraft diesel containers by using a vacuum forming technique and polyurethane materials.
