Two Cubic cryptographic modules have received the FIPS 140-2 validation status from the National Institute of Standards and Technology and Canada’s Communications Security Establishment after testing and analysis work by Aegisolve.
The Managed Asset Tag Cryptographic Module and SINK Cryptographic Module basis for its mist mesh networking product were validated as compliant to federal data security requirements, Cubic said Monday
“The FIPS 140-2 validation is a critical benchmark for our government customers,†said Jim Kilfeather, Cubic Global Tracking Solutions vice president.
FIPS 140-2 is a security standard for cryptographic technology from private companies that provide information security services to federal agencies, Cubic says.
