Siemens and Spanish utility company Iberdrola have reached an agreement to consolidate smart grid infrastructures for Middle East clients, Renew Grid reported Tuesday.
The two companies plan to build smart grid technologies for energy and water in Qatar and the rest of Middle East, according to the report.
Siemens and Iberdrola intend to combine renewable energy from solar and wind sources with smart grids in an effort to help fulfill energy demands, the magazine reports.
The companies will also jointly monitor and control distribution grids, Renew Grid reports.
