Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has secured a $28.7 million undefinitized contract from the U.S. Air Force for engineering investigations, deficiency resolution and proof-of-concept design support.
The Department of Defense said Friday the contract covers engineering support for several aircraft and systems programs and sustainment divisions.
Lockheed will also handle modernization sustainment and support for systems and components under contractor logistic support including analyses for the C-5 military transport aircraft.
Approximately $14.1 million from the service branch’s fiscal 2024 operations and maintenance funds are being obligated at award.
Work will be performed in Marietta, Georgia, and is expected to finish by July 25, 2025.
