Space technology company Umbra has launched a new business line to build and deliver synthetic aperture radar satellites to support government and commercial enterprise customers.
The company said Wednesday its mission solutions line will use its remote sensing and vertical integration expertise to develop custom satellites for governments and multinational corporations.
The new Umbra business line will provide ground and flight software, payloads and other individual components, mission systems engineering support and flexible ownership models to help meet customer requirements.
“We are proud to offer our unique mission solutions to our U.S. and global partners, including our NATO allies, whom we are already supporting proudly with our Remote Sensing business line,” said David Langan, CEO and co-founder of Umbra.
Santa Barbara, California-based Umbra has been providing SAR imaging and patented satellite technology platforms and intelligence data as a service to government and commercial clients since 2015.
