Microsoft has teamed up with Beavercreek, Ohio-headquartered information technology services company Vana Solutions to provide the Department of Defense with commercial cloud services under the $9 billion Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability contract vehicle, Dayton Business Journal reported Wednesday.
Vana Solutions has experience in delivering cloud capability to defense customers. It previously created a dual cloud platform that uses two separate Microsoft environments within the U.S. Air Force.
Microsoft is among the four companies that secured positions on the nine-year JWCC contract in December 2022 to deliver enterprisewide cloud service offerings across all classification levels and security domains.
“Delivering improved cloud capabilities is vital for national security and technology-enhanced support to the warfighter,” said Srujal Sheth, CEO of Vana Solutions.
The company also holds a spot on a potential 10-year, $900 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to help the Air Force develop multidomain systems.
