John Arnold, a 20-year government contracting industry veteran, has joined Akima as general manager of the company’s global technology business.
The former U.S. Army captain will oversee the delivery of information technology services to Akima’s government customers worldwide in his new capacity, the company said Tuesday.
“His knowledge in business strategy and operations management will be a tremendous asset in strengthening our customers’ IT modernization goals and mission need,” Juvy McCarty, president of Akima’s technology solutions and products group, said about Arnold.
Arnold held various senior leadership roles during his 17-year stint at global supply chain services company Agility, where he served as chief operating officer responsible for overseeing business development and profit and loss operations.
Before joining Akima Global Technology, Arnold was the founder and president of CavPath, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business providing strategic advisory to GovCon firms.
His industry career includes time as a director at Pinnacle International, Bluechip Manufacturing and Impeva Labs.
