The company said Monday it will help the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Strategic Systems Hardware Division create and enhance ground support equipment for handling and transporting solid rocket motors, launch platforms and flight vehicles.
Specifically, Amentum will conduct systems engineering, testing and technology transfer of hardware for boost, launch, flight, guidance, reentry and undersea detection systems as well as data and communication components.
“We are extremely pleased to continue to provide cutting-edge solutions leveraging our expertise in technology and engineering modernization to serve as an industry partner for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, enabling new capabilities to protect our national security,” said Jill Bruning, president of Amentum’s engineering, science and technology group and a previous Wash100 Award recipient.
The contract was awarded under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s multiple-award contract vehicle.
