The Department of Veterans Affairs has chosen PNT Data, an electronic data interchange and clinical data exchange specialist, to support clearinghouse work at the VA Financial Services Center.
PNT Data said Monday its latest award has a base period of 12 months and four 12-month option periods.
The service-disabled veteran-owned small business will help the center transmit electronic medical claims and convert paper-based transactions into an electronic format that complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
G. Allen DeGraw, founder and CEO of PNT Data said the award marks the company’s second prime contract with the department’s financial hub.
The company booked a five-year, $25 million award from the VA in April 2021 to support the electronic transmission of eligibility inquiry and response to commercial payers and explore insurance coverage discovery approaches.
