Jeffrey Sallet, former associate deputy director at the FBI, has joined Ernst & Young as partner serving on the investigations and compliance team in support of the company’s forensic and integrity services practice.
The firm said Sallet will be responsible for supporting the growth-focused efforts of its government and public sector business and working with legal communities in the eastern and central regions.
Sallet was with EY’s U.S. audit practice earlier in his career and he now returns with over 25 years of experience in investigations, forensic accounting and government regulations.
“Jeff brings a wealth of experience along with a wide array of skills, including deep accounting, regulatory, government and executive management experience,” said Tony Jordan, leader of EY Americas Forensic & Integrity Services.
At the FBI, Sallet oversaw its personnel, budget, administration and infrastructure, and led its inspections and insider threat programs. He served as executive assistant director of its human resources branch before assuming the number three spot at the agency.
Sallet is both certified public accountant and financial forensics professional. He is also a member of the Accounting Advisory Council and Forensic Accounting Advisory Board of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
