Zscaler has partnered with cybersecurity company Steel Root to jointly conduct vetting support to defense industrial base entities seeking to comply with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.
The companies intend to integrate Steel Root’s CMMC-focused compliance services with Zscaler’s zero-trust access technology that has been authorized under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, Steel Root said Tuesday.
Zscaler serves as the only Secure Access Service Edge services company that meets defense security standards including validated cryptography requirements and FedRAMP cloud authorization criteria, according to Steel Root.
Drew Schnabel, vice president of federal at Zscaler, said the company is looking forward to supporting defense suppliers in CMMC compliance along with partners like Steel Root that prioritize cloud-first strategies.
Salem, Massachusetts-based Steel Root is a consulting firm that offers cybersecurity and threat intelligence services as well as managed information technology support and compliance assistance.
