The U.S. Navy has awarded a five-year, $70 million contract to Utility Works joint venture for utility engineering and management services in support of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, which provides Department of Defense agencies, unified commands and the Navy and Marine Corps with facilities engineering and acquisition support.
Work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes operation and maintenance and support for facility systems used to generate, transfer and distribute electrical, water, natural gas, stream and compressed air resources.
The company will deliver architect-engineer services to facilities used by the Navy, Marine Corps and other government units operating within the NAVFAC Atlantic and Pacific regions. Work will be conducted in 10 U.S. states, including California, Virginia, Florida and Maryland, and in Europe, Africa, central and far east locations through February 2026.
The IDIQ has task orders that will be covered by the service branch's operation and maintenance contract funds.
Virginia-based services provider Utility Works JV secured the contract after competing with one other vendor.
