BWXT Recognized for Environmental, Social & Governance Efforts; Rex Geveden Quoted

Investor’s Business Daily has included BWX Technologies in the publication's list of best environmental, social and governance companies for the second consecutive year in recognition of the firm's ESG efforts and stock performance.

BWXT said Wednesday it landed the top spot in the manufacturing category and ranked 28th among all inductees.

The company noted that it is collaborating with the Department of Energy on various environmental management programs in addition to promoting nuclear energy as a clean and reliable energy source.

Rex Geveden, president and CEO of BWXT, said the company is working to demonstrate strong results while committing to ESG priorities that “benefit the community and our stakeholders.”

BWXT is additionally launching efforts to meet the demand for diagnostic imaging radionuclides through strategic partnerships, the company added.
