The U.S. Army has issued a draft solicitation seeking industry support to develop and modernize electronic warfare, cyber space and signal capabilities, Inside Defense reported Monday.
The vendor will support Army Futures Command's cyber capability development directorate across six task areas, including concept and requirements development, force modernization proponent integration, technical assessment design for emerging technologies and experimentation.
The service is looking for a contractor with “hands-on experience in the design, installation and configuration of various signal, cyberspace and EW devices over a variety of network transport†and will require the vendor to collaborate with Army Training and Doctrine Command to examine the military branch’s cyber warfare posture, the draft request for proposals reads.
Work will occur at the Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon in Georgia.
