Sevatec has received a potential $7.5M task order from the General Services Administration to conduct a 100-day pilot of the Contract Acquisition Life-cycle Management system.

CALM seeks to modernize all internal acquisition systems and processes at GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service and deliver an acquisition tool that would allow suppliers to manage contracts and submit bids, GSA said Wednesday.

“CALM is one of the key deliverables for the Federal Marketplace Strategy, which aims to reduce the burden on the contracting workforce and make it easier to do business with GSA,” said FAS Commissioner Julie Dunne.

The results of the pilot will inform FAS whether to exercise options for additional functions in the next two years and expand the use of the CALM system across the enterprise.
