Cobalt Iron and DLT Solutions, a Tech Data subsidiary, have partnered to offer a software-as-a-service platform designed to help public sector customers protect data stored in multiple information technology environments.
DLT agreed to initially distribute the Compass data protection offering from Cobalt Iron to state and local government, education and health care markets as a member of the IronClad Partner Advantage program, Cobalt Iron said Tuesday.
The distribution agreement also covers technical support materials and training services.
Chris Wilkinson, senior vice president of sales at DLT, said the partnership allows the company's channel partners and customers in the goverment market to apply a unified platform that works to secure data in data centers, cloud environments or remote facilities.
Cobalt Iron created its IPA program to help value-added distributors and resellers, managed service providers and systems integrators build their portfolios and market footprints.
