FireEye will be hosting the 10th Annual Cyber Defense Summit (CDS) on Oct. 9th and 10th at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. Click here to register for FireEye’s Cyber Defense Summit.

The Cyber Defense Summit brings together many of the world’s leading security experts, frontline heroes, government leaders, and executives from various industries to address the challenges of today’s threat landscape.

General Paul Nakasone, U.S. Army Gen. Paul Nakasone, commander of the U.S. Cyber Command, director of the National Security Agency and 2019 Wash100 Award recipient, will deliver an opening day keynote address on the first day.

CISA Director and fellow 2019 Wash100 Award winner Christopher Krebs will also give a keynote address on the second day. Krebs oversees CISA’s efforts to defend civilian networks and manage systematic risk to national critical functions, and works with stakeholders to raise the security baseline of the nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure.

In addition, the Cyber Defense Summit will feature Grady Summers, EVP of FireEye’s Products & Customer Success, hosting a panel to examine how organizations maintain a strong security posture in the cloud, the implications of a shared responsibility model and where cloud security is headed. David Totten, CTO of Microsoft and Doug Cahill, senior analyst and group practice director for ESG, will be featured as panelists.

FireEye EVP and CMO Vasu Jakkal will also moderate a panel on Women in Cyber Security that will feature women in leadership positions who are helping to shape the future of the field. FireEye is a proud supporter of Women in Information Technology & Security (WiTS) and is committed to work on an ongoing basis to bring networks of professionals together to learn, inspire, educate and encourage one another with the mission of elevating women into senior leadership and Board positions.

In addition to keynotes and general sessions on October 9 and 10, the Summit will feature more than 50 speakers in more than 30 sessions across three breakout tracks – Executive, Technical and Solutions. Former  astronaut and retired Navy Captain Scott Kelly will be giving the closing keynote address on Oct. 10th.

Eight security training courses will be held on October 7th and 8th focused on alert analysis, cyber intelligence foundations, cyber threat hunting, essentials of malware analysis, Helix threat analytics, investigations with endpoint security, network traffic analysis, and Windows enterprise incident response.
