Rob Klopp, former chief technology officer at the Social Security Administration, has joined data software firm Xcalar to serve as chief product officer, G2Xchange reported Friday. He oversaw a $1.5B information technology budget, 1,500 contractors and a workforce of 3,500 employees during his time with SSA.

Klopp’s management experience includes his executive roles with Skyland Digital Services and SAP. His work with Skyland Digital Services focused on IT modernization and digital transformation.

The experienced executive also served as a member of the Environmental Protection Agency’s E-manifest advisory board.
