General Dynamics has received a potential 18-month, $44M contract to continue to provide research and analysis support for a Defense Health Agency center that conducts clinical research on traumatic brain injury.
General Dynamics Information Technology will offer data collection and analysis support, measure health outcomes, training support for clinical providers and develop educational materials in support of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center, the company said Tuesday.
“GDIT is proud to continue providing expert research and analysis in support of DHA,†said Kamal Narang, vice president and head of health sector at GDIT.
Narang added the company’s work in the past five years has helped develop treatments for traumatic brain injuries and will continue to advance the effort on behalf of wounded soldiers and their families as well as others suffering from the injury.
GDIT, which has supported DVBIC through a 21-site network since 2014, will also conduct research on diagnostic and rehabilitation methods related to TBI as well as the effect of repetitive subconcussive blast exposure.
