Unisys CEO Peter Altabef told CRN in an interview published Thursday that the company has made security the core of its information technology platforms and service offerings.
Altabef said the company’s non-dedicated security platforms have built-in security features and Unisys aims to build on that as it works to support government agencies, financial services, health care and transportation clients.
“But I would say the thing that really distinguishes us is a real dedication to focusing on security," Altabef added.
He discussed how Unisys helps the Transportation Safety Administration secure the agency’s hardware, laptops and servers through the company’s Stealth software and shared some information on the firm’s ClearPath Forward operating system and CloudForte platform.
He cited the company’s efforts to help a government agency migrate to the cloud and the importance of ensuring security in the cloud environment.
Altabef also discussed the role of artificial intelligence and internet of things in the company’s IT platforms and how the firm applies blockchain technology to help agencies get a better understanding of supply chains.
