Praetorian Standard Inc., which Chenega Security & Support Solutions mentored through a Small Business Administration program, has won a potential $68.3M contract to protect infrastructure and personnel at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston and nearby facilities.
The Johnson Space Center Protective Services Contract II has a two-year base period that will commence on May 1 and three one-year options that could extend work through April 30, 2024, NASA said Thursday.
JSCPSC II represents the first contract win resulting from the partnership between PSI and C3 under the SBA mentor-protege program.
Timothy Lamb, president of Chenega’s security strategic business unit, told ExecutiveBiz that winning the follow-on contract marks a step forward in the company's continued support to the center and furthers its goal of driving business with PSI.
PSI will support the JSC Protective Services Division in emergency management, law enforcement, physical security, locksmith work, badging and credentials, dispatch and waste accountability for sensitive and classified items.
Locations of work also include the Sonny Carter Training Facility and Ellington Field in Houston and the White Sands complex in Las Cruces, N.M.
