Leidos has achieved a gold competency certification from Microsoft that authorizes the former to deploy the latter’s portfolio of cloud offerings.
The Cloud Platform certification allows the use of Microsoft’s products to support customers’ efforts to modernize cloud infrastructure, integrate data analytics technology and transition applications and data to the cloud, Leidos said Tuesday.
Before becoming a Gold Partner, Leidos completed a test that evaluates technological expertise in order to obtain a professional certification from Microsoft.
Microsoft then deployed certified professionals in its Partner Network for specific competencies and conducted assessments based on customer references, performance commitment and technology/sales information.
The Reston, Va.-based defense firm had previously utilized Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 to help customers manage mission-critical environments.
Steve Hull, Leidos’ chief information officer, said the company has significant experience in modernizing organizations’ enterprise information technology and cloud operations.
Leidos currently holds Microsoft competencies in the Data Center, Application Development and Small and Mid-Market Cloud Solutions categories.
