The Department of Defense has selected C3 to provide an artificial intelligence-based tool that will work to compile data for F-35 deployments and missions, Defense One reported Thursday.
The report said DoD normally takes 18 months to collect all Mission Data Files that help personnel to plan upcoming fighter aircraft operations and now wants to accelerate the data compilation process to just one month with C3’s technology.
The project is scheduled for completion by next summer.
C3 is also developing another AI-based predictive battlefield tracking system designed to collect intelligence on potential F-35 targets.
The Redwood City, Calif.-based firm currently supports nine DoD projects, including predictive maintenance work on E-3 Sentry AWACS, the C-5 Galaxy and F-16 platforms.
