The Department of Homeland Security is looking for modernization services for the U.S. Coast Guard’s web-based system that manages reports on mission activities such as safety patrols, public affairs and search and rescue operations.
The Coast Guard aims to award a firm-fixed-price contract to upgrade its AuxData system into a commercial-off-the-shelf or software-as-a-service platform to streamline training operations and organizational management, according to a notice posted on FBO.gov.
The DHS noted that the cloud-based system must be able to produce reports on all USCG auxiliary functions; process patrol orders; manage security clearances; track auxiliary activities and search for information on watercraft, aircraft, vehicles and radios by different data categories.
According to the solicitation, AuxData “suffered from several deferred maintenance cycles as emergency events have taken priority and resources over the years.â€
Interested parties must submit responses by Sept.11.
