Sierra Nevada Corp. has received a five-year, $47M contract to provide sustainment support and other services for the U.S. Special Operations Command‘s Tactical Radio Application Extension and Android TRAX software.
The company will help USSOCOM maintain, integrate, demonstrate and manage the performance of fielded systems, as well as train field service representatives under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Department said Thursday.
USSOCOM will obligate $3.2M for the first delivery order from the command’s fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds.
Work will occur at the company’s facility in Nevada and command mission units through August 2023.
SNC-made TRAX and ATRAX platforms constitute USSOCOM’s integrated air and ground tool designed to integrate with handheld Link 16 radio technology and the Digitally Aided Close Air Support Gateway.
