Leigh Anderson, chief operating officer for information and technology services at Premier, has been named president of the healthcare improvement firm’s performance services segment.
He will assume his new position on July 20 and will lead the establishment of Premier’s enterprise-wide cloud informatics business, the company said Wednesday.
In his new capacity, Anderson will also be responsible for integrating cloud-based informatics and analytics technology platforms into performance improvement consulting functions.
He will continue reporting to Premier Chief Operating Officer Michael Alkire and assume the responsibilities of Kelly Rakowski, who stepped down as senior vice president of Premier’s performance partners business.
Before he joined the company in in 2013, Anderson held positions at AT&T, Hospital Corporation of America, Health Trust and Global Healthcare Exchange.
Premier was awarded a position on the General Services Administration‘s Schedule 70 contract vehicle in late 2017 to offer health IT products and services to government agencies.
