Military Times has chosen Concurrent Technologies Corporation as a 2018 “Best for Vets†employer for the eighth year, the Johnstown, Penn., company announced Wednesday.
The annual list features 100 companies recognized for “their commitment to providing opportunities to America’s veterans.†Organizations are judged by their corporate culture, veteran recruiting, veteran policies and accommodations for reservists. The list includes Fortune 500 firms as well as smaller companies.
“We are fortunate to have an exceptional workforce that includes dedicated and talented military veterans,†said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., CTC’s president and chief executive officer.
He added, “Our company is made stronger by their unique leadership skills and technical expertise.â€
CTC has also received awards from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense body that promotes cooperation between veterans and civilian employers, and is a member of the Veterans Jobs Mission.
Veterans account for 17 percent of CTC’s workforce, according to the Military Times list.
