Lt. Gen. Alan Lynn, director of the Defense Information Systems Agency, will deliver a keynote speech at the three-day 2016 Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium that will kick off April 20 in Washington.
He will discuss how to build and protect the Defense Department‘s networks from potential cyber attacks at the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International-hosted event, AFCEA International said Friday.
Lynn, an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2016, also serves as commander of Joint Force Headquarters – DoD Information Networks.
U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Sarah Zabel, vice director at DISA; and Margaret Whitman, president and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise; will also serve as keynote speakers at the event.
Tony Montemarano, executive deputy director at DISA, will offer a brief overview of the agency and its mission through the “DISA 102” workshop, and Brenda Leonard, product analyst at DISA, will moderate a panel discussion on the government’s capture process.
The symposium will also feature panel discussions on software-defined everything, Internet of Things, DISA’s business enterprise and defensive cyber operations and its international implications.
