The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has appointed Tim Day as vice president of the organization’s Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation.
Day will help lead efforts to highlight the role of new technology in the economy and promote policy strategies that work to drive job creation and innovation, the Chamber said Thursday.
“With more than 15 years of experience in tech policy, and a proven track record of success in public policy advocacy, Tim will be instrumental as CATI continues to concentrate on shaping practical policies,” said CATI President Amanda Eversole.
Day previously worked at Teradata, where he served as vice president of government affairs and liaised with government decision-makers in Capitol Hill and the executive branch.
He was also vice president of government affairs at NCR Corp. and was chief of staff, legislative director and legislative assistant for a number of lawmakers.
