SANS Institute will host a cyber threat intelligence summit and training beginning on Feb. 3 through 10 in Alexandria, Virginia, with focus on analysis techniques.
Threat intelligence professionals from Lockheed Martin, JPMorgan Chase and the Department of Homeland Security‘s National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center will discuss how to develop cyber threat intelligence analysis systems, SANS Institute said Tuesday.
“The recent Ukrainian power grid intrusion highlights the importance of reliable analysis in threat intelligence work,†said Mike Cloppert, CIRT chief research analyst at Lockheed Martin and summit co-chair.
“This is the most recent among countless examples underscoring the importance of maturing analyst tradecraft and capability at every organization,†added Cloppert.
Summit speakers will also talk about ways to detect and address sophisticated network threats at present.
