Jeanette Gorgas, formerly senior director of strategic leadership at Weil Gotshal and Manges, has joined Grant Thornton as chief strategy officer in the company’s office of strategy management.
Grant Thornton said Wednesday that David Boland and David Porges have also joined the office of strategy management to respectively serve as chief knowledge officer and community engagement director.
“They will work in close collaboration with the senior leadership team to focus on strategy development and execution as we continue to build a healthy, high-performance culture,” said Grant Thornton CEO J. Michael McGuire.
Gorgas previously ran the consulting firm JLG Advisors, served as senior associate dean for the M.B.A. program at Yale University and held management positions at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America.
Boland, a certified public accountant in Illinois, most recently worked as global head of knowledge management at North Highland and managed operational aspects of Deloitte‘s U.S. knowledge services group.
Porges came to Grant Thornton after service as national director of corporate citizenship at Deloitte and as vice president of public affairs and corporate communications at Coast Federal Bank FSB.
He is also the state commissioner of CaliforniaVolunteers.
