Tom Joyce, formerly senior vice president of global corporate development at Hewlett-Packard, is set to join the software group at Dell, CRN reported Wednesday.
Matt Brown writes Joyce oversaw the establishment of HP’s ventures group and the Palo Alto, California-based firm’s transactions to acquire Voltage Security, ConteXtream and Aruba Networks.
Before he joined HP, Joyce led performance management software company Akorri as CEO.
Dell recently named Paul Perez, formerly vice president and general manager of Cisco‘s computing systems business, as chief technology officer of Dell’s enterprise solutions group.
The Texas-based computer firm also appointed 30-year industry veteran Rory Read president of its worldwide commercial sales organization and chief operating officer.
