Brett Lambert, formerly an executive-in-residence at Renaissance Strategic Advisors, has joined Northrop Grumman as vice president of corporate strategy.

He will report to Mark Caylor, corporate vice president, president of enterprise services and chief strategy officer, Northrop said Tuesday.

In his new role, Lambert will oversee the company’s development and implementation of corporate and business focus area strategies.

He will succeed Stanley Szemborski, who has retired from Northrop Grumman, and serve as chairperson of the strategic development council.

“We look forward to his contributions to our company’s strategic direction and performance,” Caylor said.

Lambert previously worked as a senior associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a senior fellow at the National Defense Industrial Association.

He was also a deputy assistant secretary of defense for manufacturing and industrial base policy, and served as executive VP of DFI International and managing director of DFI Investment Partners.
