Teradata University Network has launched a poster-making contest for college students to help show different applications of big data and analytics.
Interested students  have until July 1 to submit their abstracts and finalists will be featured at the Teradata PARTNERS User Group Conference and Expo in Nashville Oct. 29 and Oct. 23, the company announced Thursday.
Finalists will have conference registration, meals and events covered for free and will present their posters.
“This is an opportunity for students and faculty to expand their knowledge and understanding of managing the complexities of data. They can learn about new techniques and approaches for applying analytics to real-world business situations,” said Susan Baxley, Teradata University Network director.
Teradata said that it will offer students and teachers respective discounted conference rates of $250 and $500.
“They can also network with Teradata executives and with data professionals from some of the world’s leading companies,” Baxley said.
