Northrop Grumman on Saturday awarded nearly $50,000 in scholarships to high school students who were members of winning teams in the CyberPatriot VI National Finals Competition.
The Air Force Association announced and recognized the teams during the awards banquet at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, the company announced Monday.
First place winners each received $2,000, second-place winners each received $1,500 and third-place winners each received $1,000.
During the competition, 26 high school and two middle school teams students competed at a day-long competition Friday that tested their skills on defending virtual networks and mobile devices.
