Lockheed Martin has delivered the first KC-130J Super Hercules tanker for a U.S. Marine Corps squadron based at the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base in Texas.
The Super Hercules was ferried from the company’s facility in Marietta, Ga. to the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 234 for a formal welcoming ceremony on Tuesday, the company announced Monday.
The squadron’s Super Hercules is also the first KC-130J tanker to be stationed in Texas.
The squadron, known as Rangers, provide aerial refueling and air transport for personnel, supplies and equipment.
