Tim Dowd, formerly a director at rapid drug-testing company eScreen, has joined Irvine, Calif.-based Accurate Background’s board of directors.
Prior to his appointment, Dowd served on the eScreen board from 2008 to 2012, a period that saw the business record a twofold revenue and threefold EBITDA increase, Accurate Background said Tuesday.
Dowd currently serves as president and CEO of Current Analysis, which provides market intelligence on the information technology industry.
He said he expects to help ABI “reach new levels†in the employment screening solutions market as a board member.
Dowd led market analysis firm INPUT from 2008 until it was sold to Deltek in 2010, as well as other roles at USIS, ChoicePoint and General Electric.
He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Assumption College and holds a master’s degree from Emory University.
