A 15-week big data course sponsored by Software AG for 25 students at the University of California- Berkeley has completed, with two teams having their projects selected to further develop their prototypes.
The teams are raising funds to continue work on their prototypes they developed during the IEOR190C Industry Challenge Big Data course, Software AG announced Thursday.
Each project is based on Terracotta BigMemory and Apama CEP products.
“The program is designed to activate students in an experiential and catalytic approach,” said Stephen Pieraldi, a course instructor of the project.
“The challenge provided a great focus for students to run through our tournament style class creating a truly unique experience that seemed to reward every student in the program,†he added.
