Craig Olson, formerly a group senior director at Rockwell Collins, has been named vice president and general manager of business and regional systems at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based avionics manufacturer.
He will report directly to Kent Statler, executive VP and chief operating officer of Rockwell Collins’ commercial systems business and succeeds Jeff Standerski, who is now senior VP for information management services, the company announced Tuesday.
Statler said Olson brings technical, program management, customer service and strategic skills to his new role.
Olson has served the company for the past 27 years and most recently held the position of senior director for head-up guidance systems and site leader in the company’s Wilsonville, Ore. office.
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from The University of Iowa and a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and mathematics from the University of Dakota.
