AT&T Opens New Foundry Space for Vertical Industries - top government contractors - best government contracting eventAT&T has dedicated a new space in one of its innovation centers for the development of new technologies for vertical industries such as manufacturing, retail, finance, healthcare and the public sector.

The new area in the AT&T Foundry hub in Plano, Texas will introduce AT&T’s offerings in digital technology and cybersecurity, as well as house collaborations for 5G, artificial intelligence, software-defined networking and internet of things efforts, the company said Thursday.

The space will additionally help modernize e-commerce processes, leverage IoT to advance the delivery of healthcare technologies and services, and help insurance companies reform their damage assessment processes using drones, among other things.

Vishy Gopalakrishnan, vice president of AT&T ecosystem and innovation, said the new area will allow the telecommunications firm to support its customers in resolving their issues in vertical lines of business.

Abhi Ingle, senior vice president of digital, distribution and channel marketing at AT&T, added that pushing collaborations with engineers, technologists and cybersecurity experts will allow businesses to advance technologies before they become mainstream, as well as equip AT&T’s customers with modern innovations.
