A high-speed satellite Internet service provided Hughes Network Systems was selected as a winner at the Consumer World Awards, an annual consumer industry awards program.
The HughesNet Gen4 High-Speed Satellite Internet Service won the award for its work to deliver up to 15 Mbps of internet access and a greater download capacity, Hughes announced Monday.
Close to 800,000 subscribers use HughesNetwork’s internet service, according to the company.
“This award is a testament to our commitment to providing consumers in North America with quality, high-speed Internet access no matter where they live,” said Paul Gaske, Hughes executive vice president and general manager for North America.
