A Cubic Corp. business unit has secured a position under a potential 10-year, $496 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to research and develop communication technologies.
Cubic Mission Solutions will perform research, development, test and evaluation activities to deliver new technologies for existing and future communication architectures, Cubic said Thursday.
CMS President Mike Twyman said the company will work to provide adaptive and resilient networking support to aid military operations in challenging environments.
The Air Force selected nine companies for the Data Link Enterprise contract in January.
The contractors will help the military branch process command and control data as well as signals intelligence, geospatial intelligence and full-motion video data in support of tactical systems and time-sensitive applications.
