Rolls-Royce has received a six-month, $69.4 million contract option to maintain and provide logistics support for the U.S. Navy‘s T-45 training aircraft engines.
The company will perform intermediate and depot-level maintenance work on 209 F405-RR-401 Adour engines as part of the exercised option, the Defense Department said Monday.
Forty-six percent of contract work will occur at Naval Air Station Kingsville in Texas; 44 percent at Naval Air Station Meridian in Mississippi; 10 percent at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida; and less than 1 percent at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland.
The Navy intends to incrementally obligate funds upon issuance of orders.
