Information technology association CompTIA has launched a new version of its cloud certification program in a move to emphasize the skills necessary for information technology professionals to deploy cloud services within an organization.
CompTIA Cloud+ certification expands the coverage of the exam to include advanced cloud skills used in broader IT systems and operations, the association said Thursday.
The group’s cloud certification process is designed to test an individual’s knowledge and skills in cloud security, maintenance, management, troubleshooting, configurations and deployment through performance-based questions and hands-on simulations.
The exam is compliant with International Organization for Standardization’s 17024 Standard and the U.S. Navy‘s credentialing program for IT professionals.
IT experts with CompTIA Cloud+ certifications are employed in industries such as aerospace, cybersecurity, engineering, enterprise computing, mobile technologies, systems integration and telecommunications.
CompTIA Cloud+ requires potential exam takers to have two to three years of experience in networking, storage or IT data center administration.
