Unisys has been selected to develop a cloud-based technology platform for New Zealand’s ministry of education to manage and distribute funds to childhood, primary and secondary schools in the country.
The company said Wednesday it will build and deploy an automated education resourcing system for the ministry using an application-platform-as-a-service model under the 10-year digital transformation engagement initiative.
Unisys will use Microsoft‘s Azure App Service and Oracle‘s Policy Automation Cloud Service to help the ministry implement the ERS platform.
ERS is designed to automatically deliver funds from the New Zealand government to schools and early learning providers as well as support online digital services.
Unisys added the system will work to help the ministry accelerate efforts to implement education spending policy changes, model the potential effects of proposed changes and obtain policy insights.
